COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the National Academy of Arts & Sciences (NATAS) just announced the results of its 2015 Emmy awards competition. Student entries from the Philip Merrill College of Journalism won in 9 of the 12 possible categories (there were no awards in some categories).
NATAS also announced that Merrill College junior broadcast major Sara Dignan (right) is the sole winner of this year’s Betty Endicott Scholarship. The scholarship is worth $5000.
The Emmy awards dinner is scheduled for Saturday, June 27 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. Check the NATAS website for more information about the event including tickets.
